The Ravellenic Games, formerly known as the Ravellympics, is a crafting challenge that coincides with the official Olympic Games on ravelry.com. The intent is to expanding your own knitting/crocheting horizons and the basic rule is “Challenge yourself by starting and finishing one or more projects during the 2012 Summer Olympics.” To compete, you pick an event, create a project page with special tags, and cast on. To receive a medal, you need to document each finished project on Ravelry. BobicusMaximus hands out medals (blog badges) to the finishers.

This year athletic endeavors in the Ravellenic Games for teamhpkchc2012 also qualified for Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup (HPKCHC) Quidditch points.

Official Start Time: 21:00 BST London. Mass Cast On coincides with start of Opening Ceremonies in London.

• Clean-sweep bonus (minimum 5 events for a single project): 25
• Snitch bonus (used at least 400 yards of yarn): 75
• Total points: 235
• Additional gold medal bonus (195 points or more): 15

I also went after a Quaffle bonus (25 points) for making 7 new items. However, there is some disagreement about whether a Snitch can be part of a quaffle or not, so I have not included those points here.
